How Long Does It Take To Get To My Goal? (Real Answer)

First right off the bat, if you’re already putting in the work, then here’s something you MUST understand…

You’re going to get there man, just be patient and shut the fuck up about not being enough. You are enough. Everyone got their own lives, their own problems to figure out and their own demons to fight. If your habits are good and ambition is high, then you’re going to make big changes in the world. In that case you’re going to win it at every level you desire.

The rule of slight edge.

Success does not always come from working mindlessly 24/7, it comes from doing the minimalistic things right every single day or at least most of the days and then just waiting for the seed to grow. You water your seed every single day before it becomes a plant. If you keep watering the seed ten times a day, it will die out and be useless regardless of the hard work you’ve been putting in. So the key to success is not just work, but smart work.

So there you have it. Stop overanalysing things, do not spend your nights worrying about stuff that you have no control over just yet or things that take time. If they take time, then wait while doing those small “time-wasting” tasks right every time they’re required and when you go home that night, shut the fuck up, relax and enjoy the day. You’ve been productive as much as you can be for one day. Rome was not built in a day. Neither is your empire. So why even worry?

“Don’t worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.”
― Mary Schmich

Aim for your goal just like playing darts, do as much as you need to, and that’s almost never as much as you would have guessed.

Read often. Educate yourself by listening to podcasts, watching educational YouTube videos or even buy expensive programs that will tell you the step by step process of how to get to the place you desire. Keyword here is to learn, doesn’t matter which road for that you choose. Yes, some are faster and some slower, but who the fuck cares. Keep doing you and improving while enjoying the process and being happy. You might not have a jet by the time you turn 50, but you’ll be better than yesterday every single day for the rest of your life. Think about it. Now that’s freaking exiting!

It is not about the dramatic action where you just go against all odds and accomplish your goal. it is not about mastering a complex skill or having this interruptive innovative idea that changes the world in a heartbeat. In reality, if you want to become successful in ANY field, then it’s all about mastering small manageable things that seem so easy to do, so insignificant that their power is tremendously underestimated.

Success lies in the compound interest of every decision you make and every action you take.

We all know how people often tell us to not sweat the little things.

Well, in this case, the little things are everything. Those small boring tasks that come up every day, like going for a run or not eating that greasy hamburger. Give a fuck about the right reasons, pick a goal, realize what it actually takes to get there, put your effort into your endeavour as much as it requires and don’t think about not being there just yet. You might be there one day if you keep going, you might not. Just wait and see. Even if you won’t be…you’ve had a hell of a ride full of progress. And if you are getting better by the day for 30 years…who gives a fuck about what you own or what you’ve done for the world, because you’ve been killing it for 30 fucking years! There is always an element of luck to everything. Even if you’re not lucky enough, you’ve been the best you can be against the odds. Ain’t that a perfect success story on itself.

True happiness and overall success at any level summed up in one word –
